If you’re like me you don’t like to exaggerate, in fact, quite the opposite, I prefer to understate things and let the facts and results speak for themselves. In the internet marketing game however, if you don’t tell people that your product is better than the next person’s and list all the reasons why, you’ll end up losing out because your customer never had a chance to see for themselves why your product was so good and the obvious choice when compared to your competitor’s.
This means that, you guessed it, your product has to be the best on the market or at least, beat your competitors in the major areas that appeal to your target market. That is, by knowing what was on the market and aiming to beat competitors in every area, the product had to match up to what was promoted! And it did.

The principle here is if you do something that your competitor is doing and improve it, you’ll often see an exponential increase in profits as them. So, do your research and find out what others are doing in your chosen market. By doing more than what they’ve done, you’ve got a huge chance of success and most competitors won’t go that extra mile to outdo what you’re offering the market so you’ll end up on top.
Choosing the right market is instrumental to your online success. It’s much more difficult to create a new market than to enter an existing market that is already highly profitable for existing businesses. The good thing about online business is that you can start a new business in a new market without as much overhead and headache as in the real world. If there are many players in a market that’s also good because you can see what the best people in your market are doing. You can then offer more value, match and beat their offering and dominate the market. You can switch between a few markets before you find your niche.
The only mistake we make is the one we didn’t learn from. Be tenacious and keep trying. Do something that you’re passionate about, you’ve heard it before but it really is true that you need to give freely before expecting any return. Choose that area that interests you and where you can really benefit other people. Some people may not have a passion and maybe making money is one of them. You can find a product that is useful in that area and promote that.

These are the areas that I’ll focus on in one way or the other. It’s so important to finish each project that you start. Often another idea will spring into your head before you’ve finished and you’ll be tempted to drop what you’re doing and move on, don’t. Finish what you started and write down the new idea. This way you can have your current project making money or at least have a chance of while the new idea takes shape. It’s important to have an ideas book where you write all of those million or billion dollar ideas down and choose the best ones to take action on. Choose the ones that excite you the most.
1. Participate in chat rooms related to the product you’re reselling. Start a conversation with a person without trying to sell to them. Later on, while you are chatting, mention the product you’re reselling.
2. Create a free ebook with the advertisement and link of your affiliate web site. The subject of the free ebook should draw your target audience to down-load it. Also submit it to some ebook directories.
3. Start your own affiliate program directory. Join a large number of affiliate programs and list them all in a directory format on your web site. Then just advertise your free affiliate program directory.
4. Write your own affiliate program ads. If all the other affiliates use the same ads you do, that does not give you an edge over your competition. Use a different ad to give yourself an advantage over all the other affiliates.
5. Use a personal endorsement ad. Only use one if you’ve actually bought the product or service for the affiliate program. Tell people what kind of benefits and results you’ve received using the product.
6. Advertise the product you’re reselling in your signature file. Use an attention getting headline and a good reason for them to visit your affiliate site. Make sure your sig file doesn’t go over 5 lines.
7. Join a web ring. It should attract the same type of people that would be interested in buying the product you’re reselling. You could also trade links on your own with other related web sites.
8. Participate on web discussion boards. Post your comments, answer other people’s questions, and ask your own questions. Include your affiliate text link under each message you post.
9. Create a free ezine. Use your ezine to advertise the affiliate programs you’ve joined. Submit your ezine to online ezine directories and promote it on your web site.
10. Start a private web site. Use it as a free bonus if people buy the product you resell. You could also allow people to join for free and you could advertise the affiliate program you’ve joined.
